   	The RC 500 is a fully integrated photo-electric reader, which contains a
   	servo input buffer system whereby the number of unprocessed characters in
   	a 128 byte semiconductor buffer store regulates the reading speed. This
   	eliminates abrupt starting and stopping, thus reducing the risk of tape
