Olivetti/Programma 101/Revive/OpeningTheBox
On 2012-Jul-12, we opened our Olivetti Programma 101 for the second time and took a number of pictures. Here is what happened:
Here we go ... | |
Removing the printer cover and paper roll.
This close-up of the printer ...
... as well as this one ...
... and this one - were taken for Mr. Graciotti to identify the model.
This piece of metal fell out the machine when we opened it for the first time. It is not part of the
Olivetti Programma 101.
Another closeup. | |
Start taking the covers off: Loosening this screw allows the rear part of the cover to slide backwards and off.
The inner, rear, part of the machinery.
To remove the second part of the cover, screws on both sides must be loosened. There is a small nut
between the two parts that are held by each screw which can probably be juggled somewhat more elegantly than I did on this occasion.

Detail. | |
Loosening the screw on the other side.
Lifting the front cover ...
... further ... | |
... finally exposing that I had been careless and dislodged a couple of the rubber blocks that support the
front edge of the cover ...
... requiring me to pick them up from inside the machine afterwards.

Removing an inside back cover ...
... | |
... exposing details of the electronics.

Notice what most likely is the written date "19.12.67" here.
The likely production number.

Putting things back together again.
And, finally, the outer plate with model number and other details. |
